As the former Director of Earth Week in the Florida Keys, Kelly has been a pioneer in the environmental movement for decades. His dedication and concern for the planet has led to his integration into the health Industry, and now into the health food Industry. His career has spanned several disiplines from hospitality & food service, to medical and marketing. It is in the marketing field that Kelly shined and contributed to his success as a marketing expert after 20+ years of promoting, advertising, and consulting to such prestigous accounts as: Toyota, Boston Whaler, eRevenue, Colts Firearms, Seminole Tribe of Florida, Marine Aire, Boston Convention and Visitors Bureau, and NASCAR. Kelly is active in both local and national service organizations, and enjoys helping others in the communities he serves.

Growing up on a farm and being educated in England, Mr. Priest worked as an mechanical engineer for five years. Seeking to change his career, Robert moved to New York in the 1980s, and chose an entirely different field working in the marketing & publishing industry. Robert later moved to Florida working in the Automotive Industry on improving customer service & retention, and eventually consulted to several call centers and marketing operations throughout Florida and the Southeast. Robert worked in the natural health industry first for a medical laboratory that tested for food allergies, then for Living Naturally, a technology company that served health food retailers. Robert met and married his wife Marie, and they now have a friendly doberman named Titan.

Born in Puerto Rico, Sahillys was drawn to the DeLand area through her husband of 14 years, Rogelio. After graduating from Florida Technical College as a Medical Assistant, Sahillys began her career in the health industry at DeLand Natural Market where she has worked for over 4 years. Sahillys worked her way up the corporate ladder beginning as a cashier and growing into her current position as the store manager. Ms. Velez has continued to excel in her management duties and takes many executive level courses and training classes. Sahillys enjoys spending time with her family of 3 daughters, Grace, Sahillyann, and Alanis, and loves the beach, music, reading, and exercising.

Originally from Canada, Kate graduated from Saint Mary’s University with a degree in Psychology. Due to her husband Fred’s job obligations, Kate spent years traveling the globe, living in a total of seven countries, 12 cities, 5 states, one United Arab Emirate and one province- all on 2 continents. Kate has three children- 28 year old Matthew,26 year old Cailtin and 20 year Caley ( who she has had the awesome oppourtunity to work since the age of 16)-all of who have embraced her love of travel and adventure and who also practice a lifestyle of health and balance. Kate loves the sun, reading, trivia games and foremost time spent her family and friends . Kate firmly believes in two mottos “Treat others how you would like to be treated” AND ” it is not the woman who has the most shoes that wins, it is the woman who has the most fun dancing in them.”

She will be graduating this year with a degree as a Naturopathic Doctor. Her passion for health is evident in every counseling session with our customers at DeLand Natural Market. Jaime’s influences and the knowledge she has gained through her life experience, educational studies, 15 years experience with supplements and her training as a certified Nutritional Counselor, Personal Trainer and Aerobics Instructor make her uniquely qualified to assist our customers with their health options and healing choices.

After twice battling cancer and having a bone marrow transplant, Debbie managed to survive the treatments, but her health and quality of life were almost permanently destroyed. In addition, Debbie suffered from the effects of an auto immune disorder, chronic fatigue syndrome, and a host of other ailments. It was at that time that Debbie met a brilliant Natropathic Doctor that taught her about the mind, body and spirit, and the importance of keeping all the body’s systems in balance. The Doctor taught her to take responsibility for her own health and to believe she could and would recover. With her doctor’s help and guidance Debbie has survived. Two years later her doctor said “I only wish I had a picture of you when we first began treatment. I called you ‘dead woman walking’ and now you are one of my pride and joys”.

Amie will be celebrating her 23rd anniversary to her husband Dave this year, and they have 2 amazing Children, Josh & Ashlynn who are the light of their lives. After moving to Deland in 1993, Amie worked as a floral designer for 20 years and then decided she needed a lifestyle change. Amie received her State license for Aesthetics, and has been making faces beautiful since 2006. She loves working with people and teaching them the importance of quality products with healthy ingredient’s. Outside of work Amie loves spending time with Family & Friends, Music, Riding their Harley, Listening to Josh play bass guitar, and watching Ashlynn dance.

Born in the Big Apple, Ruth and her husband Richard (DeLand Bakery Sales Manager) moved to the DeLand area and started their family, which fostered her awareness and education of natural & organic foods. Ruth worked for a Human Sciences Press, a media company supplying books and resources for the education Industry. Ruth has worked for DeLand Bakery since 2002, as both a manager and purchasing agent for DeLand Bakery and the Natural Market. Today, Ruth and Richard are hosts in their church assisting new members and guests. Ruth loves people of all persuasions and works tirelessly to provide the best deals for DeLand Bakery & Natural Market’s customers.

Born in Puerto Rico, Jared immegrated to Florida in the 1990′s and started his basic education at the University of Florida. Jared was one of the first employees for DeLand Bakery having previously worked with Alfredo (DeLand Bakery Owner) at a little diner in Deltona called Carribean Cuisine. Jared “unofficially” worked for Alfredo with Victor Rivera and started at the bakery packing bread for their commercial orders. Jared was moved to the office to work part time soon after in order to help with the computer system. Jared’s passion is in technology and he’s currently pursuing a degree in Computer Engineering Technology at Devry University.
